Outdoor Experience is Manukau Leisure's specialist outdoor recreation team. We used to be known as Manukau on the Move and have been providing quality outdoor education programmes, that nurture the potential of school students, for many years. What we offer is a stress-free way of delivering innovative outdoor programmes where learning outcomes are met.

Qualified, knowledgeable staff provide specialist instruction and equipment to ensure you get the most out of your experience. All activities undergo extensive safety management and code of practice audits, and our boats, kayaks, bikes and gear are well maintained and constantly checked.

Outdoor Experience provides a comprehensive EOTC solution including:

Quality equipment Experienced and qualified outdoor instructors Safety and risk management planning. First-aid qualified staff Programme plans with activity sessions to suit student abilities Booking of suitable venues for a range of outdoor experiences

Primary & Intermediate Schools

Students can learn heaps from a fun, confidence-building experience in the outdoors. Our EOTC field trip days at beach, bush and park locations can offer up to five activity options per day. Or we can deliver outdoor pursuits at your school camp.

Secondary Schools

The teenage years are a time of discovery, challenge and personal development. The outdoors provides an ideal setting to harness the energy and attitude of youth while teaching good decision making.

M.I.T School Partnership Programme We're Manukau Institute of Technology's perferred provider of outdoor recreation units within their School Partnership Programme - Certificate of Achievement in Sports Leadership. We deliver Kayaking 20818 - Kayaking in sheltered or slow moving water as well as mountain biking, sea kayaking, and kayak rolling units. NCEA Achievement Standards We'll work with you to meet your individual outdoor curriculum components. We can provide an engaging outdoor experience for NCEA units such as AS90968 - demonstrate and show responsible behaviour for safety during outdoor education activities.

If you have an idea about team building, school camp activities, overnight expeditions, or anything else outdoor-related, give us a call. Our staff are flexible, safety conscious professionals who undertake external industry safety audits and can turn their hands to many disciplines.
