Member benefits

The Howick Community Gym offers general fitness programmes, sports specific training, weight loss programmes, rehabilitation and green prescription, aerobics, and free group fitness classes. You’ll also receive five free one-on-one sessions with a fitness professional to keep you on-track to getting the best results.

Group Fitness

Take advantage, and experience the energy of group fitness classes. Soak in the energy and excitement that comes from group workouts. With a variety of classes, which range in intensity, there’s something for everyone. Please note that classes are subject to availability and may be cancelled at short notice. Please check with the centre for latest updates.

never2old

Developed and jointly run with Auckland University of Technology, this programme is all about inspiring and encouraging older adults to improve functional fitness, balance and wellbeing. never2old is a fitness programme designed for those aged 60+ and has proven extremely valuable helping older adults maintain independent lifestyles.

Three one-hour never2old classes every week:

  • Monday: 12.45pm - 1.45pm
  • Wednesday: 12.45pm - 1.45pm
  • Friday: 12.45pm - 1.45pm

Concessions

15% discount and zero joining fee applies to full time students, seniors (65+ years), disabled, community service card holders and green prescription clients. To be eligible for concessionary rates a valid ID must be produced.

Joining fee

$50 joining fee applies to all memberships (excludes concessions).

Membership cards

Your personal membership card will be provided free of charge when you join. You must bring this with you every time you visit the gym to gain entry. Replacement cards cost $10.
